Mangrove Adventure tours are daily at 10 AM and 2 PM and visit the important and pristine mangrove forests. Observe many unique creatures and learn why the mangroves are called the 'nursery' of the islands.
Sunset tours are 3 to 4 evenings a week, include complimentary rum punch, and the occasional sighting of sea turtles feedings. Bring your camera to capture the sunset- a unique way to enjoy the Caribeean.
For the more adventerous, take the evening kayak tour to Bio Cove and watch your paddles light up during natures underwater light show. Small fish dart, leaving the impression of underwater shooting stars. Great star gazing too. All tours depart from Kaibo Yacht Club just a few minute drive south of Rum Point.
The Wilderness kayaks are comfortable, fast and stable. (close) |

At the top of any must-do list for visitors to 'the Brac' is the MV Capt. Keith Tibbetts. A 330-foot Russian destroyer intentionally sunk off Cayman Brac’s west end in 1996, she remains the only divable Russian warship in the Western Hemisphere. Joining the Tibbetts as part of the Brac’s unique underwater world is Oceanic Voyagers, a 7-foot tall bronze statue created by world-renowned marine sculptor Dale Evers. The sculpture, which depicts a pair of Spotted Dolphins cavorting with the Cayman Islands' famous Southern Stingrays, was sunk off the Brac’s coast at Radar Reef in January 2003 as part of a year long celebration commemorating the Cayman Islands' Quincentennial anniversary. These large pelagics literally come to life in and around the multitude of dive sites on this stunning island. Other attractions to be found in the waters off the Brac include two other wrecks, an ancient anchor embedded in a wall, numerous healthy shallow reefs and miles of colourful sponge and coral laden drop-offs. The majestic walls of Cayman Brac showcase a labyrinth of tunnels and swim-throughs in what is the Caribbean's very own underwater Grand Canyon. (close) |
